Hi. I’m Jay Clarke, President and CEO here at Magazines.com and I wanted to take a minute to tell you a few of the reasons that I subscribe to Consumer Reports magazine.
I think it’s safe to say that we all want to feel confident and secure when we’re spending our hard-earned money. Whether you’re shopping for a new car, looking to upgrade your TV, or need to replace that old dishwasher we all want to be sure that we’re spending wisely and getting the best products for our needs.
But with how quickly things change and all the new products constantly hitting the market, it’s hard for anyone to keep up with the winners and losers out there. This is where Consumer Reports does a great job of keeping me informed with unbiased product reviews and testing in practically any product category I need.
Now I know there are also some great places to check out product reviews on the Internet, but I also know that I need to take many reviews I find online with a grain of salt. Besides, life moves too quickly to spend time searching the web for a review I can trust. With my Consumer Reports subscription I know that I’m getting a quality review that’s based on real research and surveys of customers who actually use the products I’m considering.
What gives me even more faith in the quality of these reviews is that Consumer Reports doesn’t accept advertising of any kind. This way I know that brands aren’t influencing their product rankings with big ad spends.
Consumer Reports really is a great magazine for anyone who wants a go-to source to help with purchasing decisions of all types. If that’s you, then be sure to check out the current Consumer Reports subscription offers we have at Magazines.com and feel free to give us a call or send us an email with any questions you might have. We’re here to help with anything you need.

Pros:
Great help for big purchases
Cons:
As current as it can be with changing models
Have been a subscriber forever! Especially like the online app so I can check on a review at the store. What could be better? CP has never steered me wrong.

Consumer Reports

Pros:
Very insightful for buying items I like.
Cons:
We don't always get information needed in every magazine.
The Consumer Reports magazine is very helpful when buying. I like the in-depth information provided when comparing like to like items. However, sometimes I'm looking for a particular item which is not included in the comparison. I've used it for buying cameras, washer and dryer, cars, lawnmowers, & trimmers.

Pros:
Concise, informative, relevant to average consumer
Cons:
Too much emphasis on cars
A good starting place for researching and comparing products or services before purchasing. Reviews cover a wide range of topics, so there is always something relevant to my needs and/or interests.
